ABOUT YOUR ROLE
This role is a leadership role as part of the Social Compliance team, and focuses on supporting the South Asia region.
Product and Social compliance is a core requirement of the RBIS customer base, and a strategic driver for growth.
This role will support the development and depolyment of guidelines for the business, and ensure effective deployment in South Asia.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
This role will be responsible for: Being part of the Social Compliance Leadership team to develop policies and standards across our global business.
Ensuring effective deployment of all social compliance policies and standards within the South Asia region.
Ensuring 100% adherence within the region to existing social compliance standards.
Being the central contact for all Social Compliance audits, CAP, and other requirements within the region.
Maintaining and updating records as needed.
Coordination with various team to update status on CAP’s and other issues
Conduct proper escalation of issues where appropriate
Ensure compliance through regular inspections and reporting
Review, analyze and report compliance discrepancies for all facilities and follow up CAP
Investigate problems, develop solutions and teach sites to develop sustainable corrective actions for compliance discrepancies
Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- Experience in Social Compliance
- Minimum 5 years related experience in garment or trims manufacturing field
- Thoroughly knowledgeable on database administration and systems testing and auditing processes.
- Hands-on project management experience with good project management skills
- Excellent presentation skills & communication skills in both oral and written English
- Strong team building and mentoring skills, good leadership
- Excellent attention to details
- Independent worker, strong problem solving skill
- With the sense of urgency & able to prioritize and complete the assigned task in tight schedule.
- With solid management skill set and experience is preferred
- Willing to travel
