Job Description

Avery Dennison are seeking a self motivated and passionate Marketing Communications Professional to join the newly established and growing team within our Intelligent Labels division in China. In this role you will be responsible for working with the team to develop and execute the Marketing Communications strategy for the China market across multiple segments and customer bases. Activity will include events, partner marketing, content campaigns and promotion of the business via WeChat and our owned digital channels.   • Deliver and execute comprehensive marketing communications plans across channels (events, digital/social media, direct marketing, and PR) in collaboration with the broader marketing organization and leadership to support key business objectives
  • Ensure there is an integrated approach to all marketing communication activities which is aligned and consistent with the global team
  • Collaborate, develop and drive marketing communications activity that is on brand and in alignment with the global strategy
  • Develop go-to-market communications plans for product launches, ensuring integration with overall business and communications strategy including coordination with events activity throughout the year
  • Develop event plans and manage the execution and successful delivery of activity ensuring all key stakeholders are aligned
  • Draft and submit project briefs to the creative team that are clear, complete and actionable
  • Write, proofread and edit copy for a variety of marketing and communications collateral
  • Ensure consistency of brand messaging and communication across all activity
  • Keep up-to-date with market, competitive and tactical information to help better introduce/implement products, programs and services to the China market
  • Support and prepare and/or write marketing communications and/or presentations for the wider organization and leadership team
  • Support website content updates
  • Writing editorial English and Mandarin across multiple channels
  • Manage content/editorial translations as required
  • Asset and content creation to promote the business and solutions to the China market
  • Establish a calendar of activity that supports the commercial and partnership strategy
  • Ensure all activity is executed to plan and within budget.


  • Educated to degree level - Communications, Marketing or Events preferred
  • Broad-reaching global marketing communications experience in a technology environment preferred
  • 5-7 years working experience
  • Strategic thinker with an ability to align all activities to help drive commercial goals
  • Understanding of digital marketing landscape and best practices, with an emphasis on social media (WeChat), email communications, and the web
  • Hands on, solutions-oriented attitude with a strong commitment to strive for organizational success
  • Proven track record of ‘thinking outside the box’
  • Multi-tasker capable of managing numerous large projects simultaneously
  • Strong initiative to lead on projects where appropriate
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Collaborative attitude with proven experience managing large projects
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation abilities
  • Experienced networker with confidence to build relationships with key external stakeholders and partners
  • Strong ability to write and edit engaging copy/editorial in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to navigate, collaborate, and support various functions across the business from the C-suite to employees on the shop floor
  • Experience working effectively across diverse cultures and operating structures; proven ability to excel in a global environment
