Accountant - System Development & Accounting Control Section (26 months contract)

Reports to: Assistant Manager System Development & Accounting Control

Department: Financial Services (FIN)

To carry out day to day passenger revenue accounting activities accurately and timely in corporate incentive payments & controls, IATA invoices consolidation and distribution, accounts reconciliation & ticket TFC (tax, fee, charge) monitoring, financial closing and & reporting, revenue reports preparation for taxation purpose.

Key Responsibilities

KA Incentive Management & Control
  • Consolidate, clarify and verify all corporate and global deal agreements and approval forms with SND and outports
  • Manipulate all information in various Incentive databases and verify the final results
  • Develop, modify and examine the Brio queries in CIS for revenue extraction and data loading for incentive computation
  • Summarize all incentive payments and prepare monthly summary to SND
  • Manipulate and calculate global incentive deals, prepare relevant incentive revenue reports, issue payment authorization letters and effect payments in SAP
  • Monitor, forecast and reconcile the ledger balance of incentive accrual and payments
  • Maintain the accurals %/value in CAPITAL/KRASPA for weekly and monthly revenue skimming

Passenger Revenue Accounting Activities
  • Summarize and prepare seasonal flight movement schedule to the relevant party for the route code table maintenance
  • Summarize the ledger balance, monthly and accumulative activity of all relevant adjustment accounts and prepare a monthly summary to the management review
  • Monitor CX and KA ticketed tax activities, ledger balances and payments and follow up with parties concerned

Financial Closing
  • Prepare all relevant interim & yearly schedules and reports accurately and timely

  • Manipulate Brio user queries and distribute the relevant reports to requestors
  • Provide the monthly flight details and pax information list for TFC calculation if required by outports.

  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience of which 2 years' experience in supervisory role.
  • Good knowledge in airline industry, ticketing and accounting principle.
  • Strong analytical mind and interpersonal skills
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications, especially in Excel and Access
  • Experience in using SAP advantageous. Familiar with reporting in CIS, full experience in using BI tool - Brio is a must
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese/Chinese
  • Able to work under pressure and being flexible when necessary to meet deadlines
