DEPARTMENT:
Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club has become one of Hong Kong's best known and respected organisations, providing the public with world-class sporting entertainment as well as being the city's major non-Government community benefactor. Our contribution to the community is made possible through our unique, not-for-profit business model that channels the surplus proceeds from responsible gaming into community benefits. The Club is now donating over HK$3.6 billion a year to charitable and community projects through its Charities Trust. The Charities Department provides support to the Board of Trustees in the task of granting donations to various non-profit organizations in support of community projects, including arts and culture, sports and recreation, youth services, elderly services, environmental protection, medical and health, etc.
JOB_DESCRIPTION:
You will:
-Support implementation of on-going impact measurement and evaluation of charitable projects funded by the Charities Trust;
-Gather and analyse data from Trust-funded projects (such as outputs and performance metrics) and ensure data integrity;
-Assist managers in processing funding applications by doing research and analysis of the requests and preparing written submissions;
-Support preparation of regular management presentation materials;
-Support strategic research projects, carried out internally or in collaboration with external researchers;
-Initiate, manage and execute process and organization improvement initiatives, for both internal clients and external organizations; and
-Carry out other activities as necessary, including ad-hoc research, creating presentation and training materials, writing reports, planning and execution of stakeholder engagement activities, etc.
ABOUT_YOU:
You should have:
-a good university degree, with 4 years of relevant experience, preferably with some experience in strategy consulting, market / social research, and/or non-profit fields
-strong practical experience of strategic and operational research techniques and business intelligence, including market research, social science research, business and industry research, operational and process analysis
-excellent analytical and project management skills
-excellent communication skills (including English written skills)
-creativity and outgoing, outspoken personality
-good understanding of philanthropic topics, including local social issues and trends, latest international philanthropic trends, tools and resources
-Passion for, and demonstrated commitment to, improving the Hong Kong community
TERMS_OF_EMPLOYMENT:
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
