DEPARTMENT:

The Public Affairs (Racing, Wagering Communication & Issue Management) Department provides a wide range of communication support for the Club including the development and implementation of media strategies and communication for racing and wagering, media and social media monitoring and reporting, issues management, internal social media profile governance, etc.

As an integral part of the department, Racing PA team is responsible for supporting the development & execution of the media communication & publicity plan in promoting racing as a sport.

JOB_DESCRIPTION:

You will:

-Assist the Racing PA team in the development and implementation of media publicity programmes for racing events

-Provide editorial support for the CEO Blog

-Prepare the racing media guides every season and for the flagship/flagship race meetings

-Prepare racing related news summary on a daily basis

-Prepare press releases and communication materials for press briefings/conferences and racing related events

-Provide timely and efficient media service, news monitoring, enquiries handling and support for both local and overseas press

-Work on race days and non-office hours as required and in accordance with Club's policy

ABOUT_YOU:

You should have:

-a degree in Communications or related discipline

-at least five years' relevant experience in journalism or public affairs

-excellent writing skill in both English and Chinese languages

-self­-motivation, strong media sense and social skills

-knowledge and interest in horse racing

TERMS_OF_EMPLOYMENT:

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
