Reporting to the Head of Public Affairs, the job holder's key deliverable is to promote the corporate image of the Club in Mainland's media as well as enhancing the awareness and recognition amongst mainland audiences of the Club as a global leader of horse racing.
He / she will be responsible for the development and implementation of effective mainland media strategies and create a favourable media environment for the Club's business initiatives and projects in Conghua and other parts of Mainland China.
-To develop and implement a strategic media plan to promote HKJC's world class racing operating model, its professional expertise and capabilities in racing talent development , as well as its commitment and contributions to the equine industry development in the Great Bay Area and other parts of the nation.
-To enhance the understanding and reporting interest amongst Mainland media of the Club's unique integrated business model and the significant contributions it makes to the Hong Kong community and role.
-To formulate a strategic engagement programme with Mainland media and their representatives in Hong Kong as well as other stakeholders as appropriate for the development and maintenance of a constructive working relationship and generation of positive publicity of the Club.
-To support other units in the Corporate Affairs Division to achieve the business/corporate objectives in the Mainland.
-To serve as the contact person of PA to handle enquiries from Mainland media and relevant government units.
You should have
-A degree holder with at least 10 years in journalism or public relations or other relevant disciplines and extensive experience in dealing with Mainland media.
-Work experience in Mainland media, or extensive experience in the handling of Mainland affairs or Mainland media.
-Strong political senses and solid understanding of the national affairs and local political environment
-Good networking with the Mainland media and their representatives in Hong Kong
-Possess leadership skills, project management skill as well as issues management skills
-Strong analytical thinking and knowledge in public affairs and relations with media
-High level of proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
