DEPARTMENT:

The IT Digital & Channels Solutions Department is responsible for the overall management and delivery of the wagering distribution channel technologies including fixed internet, mobile, retail, telebet, kiosk, selling terminals and devices. In addition, the team delivers high performance, reliable and secure channel distribution systems connecting to Pari-mutuel and Fixed Odds Wagering Systems.

JOB_DESCRIPTION:

You will:

-Work closely with the Business Analyst lead in delivering business requirements including the review and signoff within the agreed timeline and budget. The requirement areas cover Mobile Apps and Web channels.

-Ensure functional and non-functional requirements are complete and clear. Review and clarify requirements with various stakeholders including business and IT stakeholders.

-Work with architecture and application development teams members to ensure a clear understanding of the requirements and decompose them into modular requirements that can be rapidly delivered to the business and users

-Coordinate the preparation of the project proposal, including effort and cost estimates as well as project timelines, to support funding approval for business and IT initiatives

-Assist in ensuring that teams use best practice requirements management tools and techniques and help drive the adoption and continual improvement of these processes and tools

-Work closely with the Product Owner when the project is delivered in an Agile ways of working. As such the Business Analyst should be able to write a Product backlog with a set of Epics, User Stories and Tasks in our Atlassian suite of products, work closely with the Product Owner to prioritise the User stories and groom them with the Agile Teams and support the Product Owner during the Agile delivery supporting the team during the Agile ceremonies and each Sprint Planning, grooming and review.

ABOUT_YOU:

You should have:

-6 plus years of experience in a Business Analyst type role with an emphasis on mobile and web applications

-A university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines

-Strong communications skills in English both written and verbal

-Good command of spoken and Cantonese and Putonghua

-Good knowledge of Web and Mobile related Technologies.

-Reasonable understanding of UML and how it can be applied

-Experience in using tools like Confluence, JIRA, Microsoft Office, Visio, SharePoint and Word.

-CBAP or equivalent certification would be an advantage.

-Agile Certification (preferably as a Product Owner)

-Strong business analysis skills - critical thinking, analytical skills, problem solving, pragmatic and think out of the box.

-Good knowledge of software development life cycle and methodologies in particular waterfall and agile practices and be able to adapt the requirements and analysis practices to these different models

-Sprint Planning and user story grooming, manage product backlog, BDD.

-Leadership skills - be able to lead discussion as well as project tasks delivery.

-Good stakeholder management & communication skills.

TERMS_OF_EMPLOYMENT:

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
