DEPARTMENT:
The Public Affairs Department provides a full range of proactive communications functions to the Club including the formulation of communication strategy, issue management, racing and non-racing media relations; racing, betting, charity information and overall publicity; as well as organisation of corporate PR programmes and projects.
JOB_DESCRIPTION:
You will:
-translate a full-range of racing reports including racing Incident reports on race days at the racecourses
-produce and edit racing and corporate publicity materials including racing information and press release
-provide translation and language services for all departments of the Club
-work 5 days per week with irregular hours when necessary
ABOUT_YOU:
You should have:
-a degree in translation or language-related discipline
-a minimum of four years' work experience in translation, journalism or related field
-professional translation and writing skills
-literacy in MS Office and Chinese word processing applications
-excellent proficiency in both English and Chinese
-strong collaboration skills
-interest and knowledge in the sport of horse racing are preferred
Applicants with less than four years' work experience will be considered for the post of Public Affairs Officer.
TERMS_OF_EMPLOYMENT:
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
