DEPARTMENT:

With the full development of the Club's China development strategy, GBA (Greater Bay Area) development has taken on increased importance with three notable pillars: development of the national and GBA racing vision, development of high quality Mainland Membership/Ownership Base, as well as protect and establish awareness/rapport for Club's core brand (including Mainland integrated reporting / ESG, as well as Mainland charity platform).

This role will report to the Executive Manager (Strategy Projects) and the person will work very closely with both internal teams and close collaboration cross-functional teams. The job holder will drive the framing, modulization, analytics, quantification, and eventual packaging of all the content into documents that can be communicated with Mainland stakeholders.

JOB_DESCRIPTION:

You will:

-Lead key analytics and financial modelling necessary for the study focused on detailing out the development of racing/equine industry in China in economic, fiscal and social aspects.

-Lead data collection and synthesis as necessary for all project modules, including: Market Size Projection (including competition, economic/fiscal/social impact), Supporting Infrastructure sizing and necessary investments sizing, Horse Population sizing, Competition requirement sizing, National impact projection, Total opex and capex projection, Total fiscal / tax contribution projection etc.

-Working together with other colleagues (e.g. Mainland branding manager, PA, MA, racing...), package all findings into digestible materials in various forms (e.g. brochures / pamphlets, Government working policy documents, infographics, storybook....) in preparation for articulation and roadshow to various Mainland and other stakeholders.

-Working together with MA and other teams, perform joint lobbying/communication with GD/GZ/CH stakeholders in articulation of the national equine development plan and HKJC's potential role; in the midterm, this may be extended to more senior level communications at the Central level.

ABOUT_YOU:

You should have:

-A Master's degree in Business related disciplines

-10 to 15 years' experience in a business analytics heavy environment

-Technically astute with the ability to translate analytics into insights to guide management decision

-China and equine experience a must

-Well-rounded skillset combining verbal/written communications, strategic mindset, people management skills, and ability to implement and work across functions and manage external parties e.g. vendors

-Project management skills and capabilities to work across teams

-Mastery of Word, Excel (particularly financial modelling skills), and PPT.

-Native level fluency in spoken English/Mandarin/Cantonese; highly polished/eloquent writing skills in both English and Chinese

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
